William Hanson, PhD. - President and Chief Executive Officer
Dr. William Hanson has over 25 years experience in operations, high tech manufacturing, business management, P&L accountability, and research & development management. Prior to founding Hanson Technologies in 2003, he worked as Global Vice President of Crystal Engineering for Corning Frequency Control, Operations Manager of Piezo Crystal Company, and Vice President of Engineering for Piezo Crystal Company. In this role, Dr. Hanson was responsible for the global deployment of newly developed high tech crystal manufacturing technology, meeting QS-9000 quality standards, for Corning Frequency Control.
Dr. Hanson was also responsible for crystal manufacturing operations at Piezo Crystal Company supporting a 300 percent growth in the company. Dr. Hanson was also instrumental in setting up statistical process control manufacturing methods at Piezo Crystal Company. Dr. Hanson holds a PhD and Masters degree from The Johns Hopkins University in Material Sciences and Engineering. He holds the patent, exclusively licensed to Hanson Technologies, on next generation biological and chemical sensing technology.
Jacqueline Walker - Chief Operating Officer
Jacqueline F. Walker has more than 30 years of experience in P&L management, strategic planning and operational budgeting, marketing management, global sales and distribution, operations management and state-of-the-art new product development. Prior to joining Hanson Technologies, she worked as the Chief Operating Officer for Ondine Biopharma Corporation in Vancouver, Canada where she scaled up operations to successfully commercialize the company's first product, Periowave, on a global basis and develop a pipeline of new products for both dental and medical applications. Jackie spent more than 20 years in the Medical Device industry with global market leaders in General Management and Marketing Management roles. Prior to Ondine, she spent 13 years with DENTSPLY International as Vice President & General Manager, leading a number of divisions including the Professional division with revenues of $140 million, two manufacturing locations and approximately 500 employees. She also held the position of Vice President of Business Systems Development for DENTSPLY, where she developed and implemented a branded global business system model for DENTSPLY which provides a framework of standardized "best practices" for the company's worldwide businesses. Jackie holds an master's degree in marketing and finance from the University of North Carolina and a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and French from Duke University.
Stephen Fotos - Chief Financial Officer
Stephen J. Fotos has more than 25 years of experience in controller and financial management positions in IBM and AMP/Tyco. Prior to joining Hanson Technologies he was the Global Controller for AMP/Tyco's Printed Circuit division. In this capacity, he had P&L and complete financial management responsibility for this $500 million division with plants in the United States, Spain and China. In previous positions at both IBM and AMP/Tyco he had a wide variety of financial management positions, including management positions in Tokyo, Japan for both IBM and AMP/Tyco. He holds a master's of business from the University of Minnesota.
Russell Lackey, Vice President of Quality
Russell Lackey has more than 40 years experience in high technology manufacturing, sales, and quality management. He instituted military and space quality programs into production at previous employers and was previously employed at Corning Frequency Control, Oak Industries, and Piezo Crystal Company.
Maureen Dyer, PhD - Director of Sensor Development
For nearly two years, Maureen Dyer has led the Hanson Technologies' team as the Director of Sensor Development. Maureen has been extremely involved with the market research and product development of Hanson Technologies' food safety screening solutions.
Prior to this position, Maureen served as the Biological and Chemical sensor engineer. In this role, Maureen designed and managed the laboratory for developing bioassays for food and disease pathogens such as Eschericia coli, Salmonella, Listeria, and Campylobacter. Maureen holds a doctorate degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Pennsylvania State University.
